Bali Wedding Photography |Bali Wedding Photographer, Photography consists of two words which meant Photos and Graphos, where the literal meaning is "Painting Light". For us, photography is art, art to paint a light. Because we not only catch the light, but also how to give a touch of art to every light / or photos that we take through the camera.
Interest in photography has appeared since the days of college. However, because of expensive equipment costs make photography can be deepened toward the end of the semester. Because of strong interest to learn photography , we attend many photography classes, many questions with experienced senior photographers, many reference from the internet and books. Yes finally we build this business in the field of photography after receiving a sufficient supply of knowledge and equipment.
We just want to share our experiences and not to denigrate those seniors who may be read this blog. Some of our experiences while shooting which tends to lead to a pre wedding photography that may be needed by photographers who are new in photography.
- Learning / reading the faces of the object:
At the time of the shooting, just waiting for the right if you wan to get a natural looking picture. But when the desired image is obtained based on the concept, set the pose of the object, but still relaxed and natural appearance. Find the best angle of the object. Did we have to take a corner in its entirety, or only require a small part. Is it a bird view, or frog view, or horizontal view, depending of our creativity.
Clean Background
Try to choose a clean and simple background which support Point of Interest. If not, we can also use long distance lenses ( 70-200,etc) or large aperture lenses (F/1,4 and F/2,8 or more ) to make blur effect background
Use the Nature
Use any object around us. For example take the picture from behind a branch or leaves so we have interesting framing effect. Show the great clouds or nice view around the object and etc. This is where a lot of creativity and a lot or less reference that you saw earlier. Because photography is a process of imitation learning.
Right time to press your shutter speed
At the time of the shooting, tried to calm your self and not in a hurry. If we will be pressing the shutter, we must realize that the photo is not just ordinary pictures cum. But the pictures that have meaning, memories, emotions and stories from the object. For example : an objects are surprised because the attack waves on the beach will be very meaningful than just posing sweet thing in offshore.
Hold your breath while pressing shutter
Make a position like triangle between arm and elbow who stick on your chest will hold the camera stronger. And with holding breath while pressing the shutter speed will decrease of possibility camera shake. This motode have to accustomed because tripod can be very troublesome.
Additional Light
When we shoot an out door post/ pre wedding, we can’t determine the weather so we need additional lighting ( flash light) are necessary. Although some people are avoid additional light, but with diffuser we can make softer light and less contras on face or body. Use also bouncing technique to get the object dimension. Use also trigger and two or three or could be more additional light to get interesting effect.
This blog only shared many of our experience from 2007 years ago, a year when we was start to learn photography from any workshop, books, internet reference and also from other professional photographer. Hope this summary can be useful for any body
